The Spanish Institute of Financial Analysts has presented ACS with the 2026 Brújula del Año Award, in recognition of its business track record and its ability to create long-term value for its shareholders.

HOCHTIEF has been identified by Sellafield Ltd for delivery as part of a major long-term framework supporting the operation, maintenance and development of Sellafield. Framework worth up to GBP 1.5 billion expands HOCHTIEF's role at the UK's largest nuclear site and strengthens its position in a strategic growth market

ACS Group and HOCHTIEF Chief Executive Officer Juan Santamaría said: "This is a significant endorsement of HOCHTIEF's nuclear capabilities, engineering expertise and proven ability to deliver complex projects in highly regulated environments. 

The success highlights HOCHTIEF's successful strategy of expanding in attractive growth markets that benefit from the Group's engineering expertise, integrated delivery model and long-term customer relationships. Turner has been recognized among the top five companies in 18 sectors of ENR’s latest rankings, achieving the No. 1 position in General Building, Healthcare, Education, and Sports, while also securing leading positions in data centers, telecommunications, aviation, government, and pharmaceuticals.

This recognition reflects the company’s strong business performance. During the first six months of 2026, Turner increased its backlog to $52.7 billion, generated $16.5 billion in revenue, and secured $24.5 billion in new orders. Among the fastest-growing markets were data centers, where backlog nearly doubled to $22.0 billion, alongside aviation and healthcare.

This performance is complemented by FlatironDragados’ leadership in Transportation, Bridges, Mass Transit and Rail, and Highways, reinforcing ACS Group’s position across a broad range of building and infrastructure sectors in the United States.

Turner Selected for U.S. Air Force FARM III Program

 
 

Turner was selected by the U.S. Air Force as one of eight contractors for the Facilities Acquisitions for Restoration and Modernization (FARM) III program supporting military ground-testing facilities.

The multiple-award IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity) contract has a combined ceiling of $900 million and includes mechanical and electrical work, instrumentation, data systems and controls, design-build services, and construction. Projects will be awarded through individual task orders during the contracting period, which extends through September 4, 2034.

The renovated East Stands welcomed fans for the first time as the Army Black Knights opened their 2026 football season. The completion follows more than two years of construction completed while Michie Stadium remained operational for football, lacrosse, graduation, and other events.

Leighton Asia has been awarded a contract by a multinational technology corporation to construct a data centre in Hyderabad, India.

The award continues the company's expansion in the fast-growing digital infrastructure sector across Asia. Construction is scheduled to commence immediately.

In Hong Kong, Leighton Asia has been awarded a new data centre project by an existing multinational technology client.

The scope of work covers the fit-out, testing and commissioning of a large-scale, mission-critical digital facility. The project builds on Leighton Asia’s successful delivery of an earlier data centre development for the client and represents a continuation of a trusted relationship.

Sedgman appointed as the preferred EPCM contractor for Colossus Rare Earth Project

 
 

Sedgman has been appointed as the preferred engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) contractor for the Colossus Rare Earth Project in Minas Gerais, Brazil, by Viridis Mining & Minerals Limited (Viridis).  

The appointment marks an important milestone in the development of one of the world's most significant ionic adsorption clay (IAC) rare earth projects and further strengthens Sedgman’s growing presence in South America.  

Located in Brazil's Poços de Caldas region, the Colossus Project is emerging as an important source of rare earth elements. The project has the potential to significantly contribute to the diversification of critical mineral supply chains and support the growing demand for materials essential to electrification, renewable energy technologies and advanced manufacturing.

CPB Contractors selected to deliver East Perth Primary School

 
 

CIMIC Group’s CPB Contractors has been selected by the Western Australian Government to deliver the main works for the new East Perth Primary School (planning name), a WA government-funded four-storey inner-city school that will provide contemporary learning facilities for students from kindergarten to year six.

Design and construction of the East Perth Primary School includes:

  • A four-storey, approximately 10,500 square metre school building 
  • Hall including music rooms, canteen and out of hours school care
  • Sports fields and hard courts
  • Extensive terraced landscaping.

Main construction works are scheduled to commence in October 2026.

The headquarters places the company in the heart of one of the nation's most dynamic business regions and reinforces its long-term commitment to Georgia and the broader Southeast.

To commemorate the headquarters opening and translate the milestone into a lasting community investment, FlatironDragados donated two specialized equipment machinery simulators to Dawson County High School for use in its Career, Technical and Agricultural Education program.

“Mayrit” reaches the future Palos de la Frontera station

 
 

The “Mayrit” tunnel boring machine has reached the future Palos de la Frontera station, marking another milestone in the extension of Line 11 of the Madrid Metro. “Mayrit” excavated 2,732 meters from Comillas, passing through Madrid Río, in 147 days and almost one month ahead of schedule.

Along the route, “Mayrit” installed 1,606 concrete rings to form the tunnel’s permanent lining and excavated 188,571 cubic meters of soil. This breakthrough completes the tunnel for this section of the extension.

This achievement reflects the experience and technical expertise of Dragados S.A. and its project partners in delivering major mobility infrastructure that helps transform cities and improve urban life.
